As members of the United Methodist Church, we're sent into the community to serve those in need and to make our communities more loving and just. We have a direct responsibility to the people of the "world" around our church, the communities in which we and others study, work, shop, play and so forth. In this world are people with many hurts. doubts, and questions. There are some that are new to our community and feel a little lost, some who are proudly self-sufficient, and others who are in desperate conditions. Our mission is to reach out to them, listen to them, accept them, share the gospel in word and deed, invite them into the family of faith, and joyfully receive all who will will respond.
Corinthian Cupboard is opened three days a week. The dates are as follows:
The Corinthian Cupboard services only those living in Mantua Township at this time. Also, we do go by an appointment system and you must call Becky at 468-2711 to set up a time that is convenient for you on one of the above days for either church. Becky is at the office from 8:30 until 3:00 pm from Tuesday until Thursday and on Friday from 8:30 until 12:00 noon. Your visits to the Corinthian Cupboard are limited to once a month.
The Corinthian Cupboard at Barnsboro UMC is also supported by Mt. Zion United Methodist Church through food donations and volunteers to staff the Cupboard.
